My grandmother gave me clothes for my baby girl was my (1970) and father (1940). Some of them have rusted areas, the type of rust color on the canvas. How can I remove mold and clean the fabric without damaging it?

You have two options:
The softer option
Squeeze a little lemon juice in the area that is discolored and extinguished the sun for the sun "bleach" the rust, this option should not affect the color of the rest of the garment.
Chemical Option
Use warm water and soak for Bucket of Oxyclean, soak for 4 hours, then a paste Oxyclean and warm water, scrub with a toothbrush Oxyclean dough on the premises several times, then rinse each application for the stain is removed.
